CHANCE (ISLINGTON) - JULY �99 �246,060

The project aims to provide a mentoring scheme for young children displaying behavioural problems at home or at school. The grant, over two years, will pay for staff salaries, computer equipment and associated project running costs.

CHILDREN�S DISCOVERY CENTRE - JANUARY �99 �359,063

The project is for the construction and refurbishment of a building, in order to create a children�s museum with exhibitions that will help with their educational development needs. The grant, over one year, is for building and refurbishment costs, the salaries of four staff members and running costs.

SOHO FAMILY CENTRE TRUST - FEBRUARY �99 �43,720

This project provides drop-in days for isolated Chinese women with children who will benefit from a woman�s self help support group, educational workshops and health education. The grant, over one year, is for the salary of a project organiser, sessional workers and running costs.

INTERLINK FOUNDTION - JANUARY �99 �86,555

The project will provide training and advice to the Orthodox Jewish community and develop a volunteering programme to assist with advocacy and service delivery to individuals in need. The grant, over two years will pay for two staff salaries, volunteer�s expenses and running costs.
