Charities Board hosts Lottery Distributors Open Forum: ‘Who will give us money?’An exciting and worthwhile project, the energy and commitment to carry it out, but where do you find the cash? To answer the public’s ‘where?’ ‘how?’ and ‘what?’ questions, all six Lottery Distributors are getting together to present their grant schemes and answer questions at an open invitation public forum. The forum, hosted by the Charities Board, is held at the National Eisteddfod’s Voluntary Sector Pavilion, SBARDUN, from 1:00 to 2:00 on Thursday 5 August. The Forum provides up-to-date information on Lottery funding for Arts, Charities, Heritage, Millennium, Sport and New Opportunities, as well as answers to questions from the public. Tom Jones, Chair of the National Lottery Charities Board in Wales said, "During the Charities Board’s fifth year celebrations, it is with great pleasure that we host this open forum for the second year running. The forum gives the public a one-stop-shop for information and allows us, the distributors, to cooperate as we present our grant programmes to the public. Together we are aiming to enhance the quality of life in Wales but we can only succeed if we receive regular applications for well-researched projects. Our priority therefore is to ensure that we communicate the opportunities we offer potential applicants as effectively as possible and that we are accessible to receive feedback from the public."
